Really big people are, above everything else, courteous, considerate and generous - not just to some people in some circumstances - but to everyone all the time.

FULL NAME: Harrietta Colleen Creevey. Named after a war hero and a dead Uncle. It's not exactly a name she's fond of, but it's the one she's got so she makes do.
NICKNAMES: Etta. She prefers that people call her Miss Etta, but people rarely do. She vary rarely tolerates being referred to by her full name, or any other variant of it. Miss Creevey is acceptable, but she thinks it's rude if someone uses her last name without the title before it. In return she refers to most people as Mssr or Miss [Insert Name Here]. Mr James Potter refers to her as Etta the Hutt, but everyone knows that Mr Potter is not a very nice boy.
DATE OF BIRTH: 09 July.
AGE: Sixteen.
BLOODLINE: Half. Her father is a muggleborn, her mother refers to herself as "fullblood", whatever that means.
WAND: 10 ⅛" Holly, with a horse hair core.
EXTRACURRICULARS: Etta is a Prefect, a responsibility which she takes very seriously. She tends to think of herself as being Albus' moral compass, and tries her best to keep him out of trouble.

HOMETOWN: Medway, Kent, England.
PARENTS: Romilda Vane & Dennis Creevey- happily divorced.
SIBLINGS: None. Her parents were married for three years total, and probably would've divorced long before then if she hadn't come into the picture.
PETS: None. She has an allergy to cats, a fear of birds (including owls), and finds rodents to be foul.
FAMILIAL RELATIONSHIPS: Etta does not get on with her mother. Though her parents share partial custody of her, it is Dennis with whom she spends most of her time, preferring to avoid Romilda if at all possible. One of her biggest fears is that she'll end up just like her mum. In turn, her mother is constantly trying to bribe her with treats and pretty things in an effort to get her an in with the Potters. It seemed that Romilda never really got over her crush on The Boy Who Lived, and she's constantly trying to use her daughter's connection with the family to woo him into her bed.

IN DEPTH: The story of Dennis Creevey and Romilda Vane has less to do with love and more to do with obsession, something they both had in common. Unfortunately, their obsessions had nothing to do with one another, and their relationship was doomed to failure. Within three years of getting married they were divorced. Romilda, who had become a gossip columnist for Witch Weekly, maintained custody of their daughter for her first few years. Dennis was busy completing his education in order to become a psychologist.

Their only child, Harrietta, was an awkward girl, to say the least. She had very little attention from her mother, who was more interested in interviewing celebrities and her borderline stalking activities than she was in raising a child. Etta was left to a slew of bad babysitters who sat the child in front of the Wi-Vi with junk food so that they could go off and do their own thing. She was nearly six years old before her father realized what was going on.

Though Dennis managed to get primary custody of Etta, the damage was already done. The chubby baby had become a rather solid young girl who preferred to eat her feelings, in addition to everything else. Her father indulged her in an effort to make up for the lack of loving parental figure she'd had in her early lives, and while she appreciated his attentions it didn't really help with her weight problem.

By the time Etta started attending Hogwarts she had to have specially made robes. Though her size isolated her from many of her peers, there was one student who didn't seem to care- and her friendship with Albus Potter began on that very first day, before she even knew of his famous parentage. She was sorted into Slytherin, supposedly due to her ambitious nature, but it's entirely possible that her desire to be nothing like her mother (down to the House she was sorted in) gave the Sorting Hat the idea to put her there.

In the more recent years Romilda has tried to be a part of her daughter's life again. She had very strong opinions about about every aspect of Etta's life, from her weight to the friends she kept. By the most recent summer she did manage to have some sort of effect on her daughter- at least that's what she believes- since Etta started making strides to lose weight. The truth was that Etta was tired of the cruel nicknames (including some of the ones her mother had thoughtlessly come up with) and a part of her hoped that Albus would spend less time with girls like Saara Patil-Nott if she wasn't so large. The new year is about to start and she's dropped 3 stone since the summer's start. Though she is still round in the face and a bit on the plump side, there's a considerable difference in her size... enough that she hopes there will be no more Hutt references from the likes of James Potter and company.

10 TRAITS: Enthusiasm, idealism, an ability to "think on one's feet," zeal, innocence, selfishness, an inability to save money, impetuousness, a hot temper, and oversensitivity.
LIKES: Being right, telling people what to do, obeying orders, eating, food, history, current events, having an opinion on everything, music- all kinds, astronomy, space, the space before dawn, flying (but only when no one's watching), dancing (but only when no one's watching), jokes of all kinds- but especially corny ones, Muggle books about magic, books on religion.
DISLIKES: Being called bossy (though she is), disobeying orders- especially getting caught, comments about her weight, high noon, exercise as a general rule (though she does it quite often these days), being the butt of the joke, romance & crushes (she has them, she won't admit to it, though), all things Potter related (except Albus, he's grown on her), the wastefulness of the rich, other things.
SECRET: "I lost 3 stone over the summer so my best friend would finally notice me."

BEST FRIEND: Albus Potter. He's the only person she feels comfortable enough with to not add the respectful Mr to his name. She's also half in love with him, but she'd never admit something as tactless as that.
FRIENDS:
ENEMIES: Saara Patil-Nott, though she'd never admit to having such strong feelings of dislike for anybody. That's just rude.
CRUSHES: Albus Potter. Not that she would EVER admit to something like that. It's bad enough that everyone knows of her mother's obsession with his father, she would never confess to being interested in a Potter in the same way. She is constantly telling herself that she is happy to be his friend and nothing more, and she would never admit that he was a driving influence in helping her to lose weight- not even to herself.
